Silent Mode, Focus, and Alarms
One of Rouzz's core features is alerting you when normal calendar reminders would not.

Choose Alarm in the event editor or enable the list bell when you cannot afford to miss an event.
Choose Notification when you want a quiet reminder that respects your phone being silenced.
How it works
Rouzz uses Apple's AlarmKit (iOS 26+) for alarm reminders. AlarmKit alerts are system-owned — they use the same pipeline as the Clock app's alarms, not the notification center.
This is why Rouzz alarms:
- Ring even when the mute switch is on
- Appear during Focus modes that suppress notifications
- Continue alerting until you snooze or dismiss
- Work when Rouzz is not running
Onboarding
During setup, Rouzz explains that its alarms break through Silent Mode and Focus — unlike standard calendar notifications. Grant alarm permission when asked to use this feature.
When a gentle reminder is enough
Not every event needs a loud alarm. For low-priority reminders, set Notification in the event editor. You get a banner without overriding Silent Mode.
Imported events default to None so Rouzz does not alarm you for every existing calendar entry — you opt in per event.
