Recurring Events and Limitations

Rouzz supports recurring events from your calendars, with a few important behaviors and limits.

Viewing recurrence

When you edit a recurring event, Rouzz shows a read-only Repeats field (e.g. "Every week on Monday"). This describes the rule stored in EventKit.

What you cannot do in Rouzz

To set up or change recurrence, use Apple Calendar or another calendar app. Changes sync to Rouzz automatically.

Alarm settings and recurring series

Alarm and notification settings apply to the entire series, keyed by the event's series identifier:

Detached occurrences

If you edit a single occurrence separately in another app (e.g. "this event only"), it may become a detached occurrence with its own identifier. Detached occurrences:

This is expected behavior when calendar providers split an occurrence from its series.

Deleting recurring events

When deleting from Rouzz, choose:

All-day recurring events

All-day events appear on every day they span in List view. Alarm settings still apply at the series level — enable the bell on any visible occurrence to cover the series.
