Enabling Alarms from the List
The fastest way to enable alarms for existing events is the bell button on each row in List view.
How the bell works
- Grey bell with slash — alarm is off.
- Blue filled bell — alarm is on. A small timer icon shows how many minutes before the event the alarm fires (e.g.
5means 5 minutes before).
Tap the bell to toggle between off and on. When you turn an alarm on, it uses your default alert time from Settings unless the event already has a custom time set in the editor.
First-time hint
The first time you have upcoming timed events in List view, Rouzz shows a tooltip: "Tap the bell on any event to turn on a full-screen alarm that breaks through Silent Mode." Tap Got it to dismiss it.
Past events
The bell is disabled for events that have already started. You cannot turn on an alarm for a past event from the list.
Recurring events
Alarm settings apply to the entire recurring series, not just one occurrence. Enabling the bell on any occurrence of a weekly meeting enables the alarm for all future occurrences in that series.
For notification reminders
The list bell only toggles alarms. To set a notification instead, open the event in the editor and choose Notification under Reminder.
