Calendar Access and Permissions

Rouzz needs full calendar access to read your events, display them, and save changes you make in the app.

Granting access

During onboarding, Rouzz asks for calendar permission. You can also grant it later in Settings → Privacy & Security → Calendars → Rouzz on your iPhone.

Rouzz requests access on launch and when returning to the foreground, so if you initially denied access you can enable it in iOS Settings and switch back to Rouzz.

Supported calendar sources

Rouzz reads any calendar synced to your device through EventKit, including:

• iCloud
• Google Calendar
• Microsoft Exchange
• Local/on-device calendars
• Other CalDAV or subscribed calendars

Events sync through your existing accounts — Rouzz does not manage account sign-in.

When access is denied

If calendar access is not granted, Rouzz shows a placeholder with a link to Settings instead of your events. Tap the link to open iOS Settings and enable calendar access for Rouzz.

Automatic refresh

Rouzz refreshes events when:

• Calendars or events change externally (another app, Siri, cloud sync)
• You tap Settings → Refresh Calendars
• You return to the app after being away

Events are loaded across a wide window (roughly 13 months before and after today) for smooth scrolling.

Writable vs read-only calendars

You can create and edit events only on calendars that allow modifications. Read-only calendars (some subscriptions) appear for viewing but cannot receive new events.
