Apple Watch Companion
Rouzz includes a watchOS companion app that syncs with your iPhone.
Upcoming events
The watch app shows events for the next 3 days, synced from your iPhone:
- Grouped by day (Today, Tomorrow, or weekday)
- Calendar color stripe, title, time, and calendar name per event
- Empty state: "No upcoming events — Next 3 days" when nothing is scheduled
Data syncs via WatchConnectivity when your phone and watch are paired.
Alarm takeover on Watch
When a Rouzz alarm is firing, the watch shows an alarm takeover screen with:
- Event title and calendar name
- Snooze button — snoozes the alarm for 5 minutes
- Dismiss button — stops the alarm
Snooze and dismiss actions are sent to your iPhone, which handles the AlarmKit interaction.
Requirements
- iPhone with Rouzz installed and paired Apple Watch
- Rouzz open on iPhone at least once so initial sync can occur
- For snooze/dismiss from the watch, the iPhone must be reachable via WatchConnectivity (typically when both devices are nearby and the phone is on)
What the watch does not do
The watch app is a companion — it does not independently schedule alarms or edit events. Calendar management and alarm scheduling happen on the iPhone; the watch displays synced state and forwards your responses.
