Alert Times and Defaults
You control when a reminder fires relative to the event start time.
Alert time options
For events with a reminder enabled, choose from:
| Option | Fires |
|---|---|
| At event time | When the event starts |
| 1 minute before | 1 minute before start |
| 5 minutes before | 5 minutes before start |
| 10 minutes before | 10 minutes before start |
| 15 minutes before | 15 minutes before start |
| 20 minutes before | 20 minutes before start |
| 30 minutes before | 30 minutes before start |
In the event editor, pick a specific time or choose Default to use the app-wide setting.
Default alert time
Go to Settings → Alarms → Default alert time to set the default for all events that use "Default" (or that you enable via the list bell without a custom time).
The factory default is 1 minute before. Changing the default immediately reschedules alarms for all events using the default.
Per-event vs default
- Events you configure in the editor can pick an explicit alert time or Default (…) .
- Events you toggle on from the list bell use the default unless you previously set a custom time in the editor.
- Changing the default updates every event still set to Default — you do not need to re-enable bells individually.
Past alert times
Rouzz will not save a reminder whose fire time is already in the past. If you see a validation message like "Reminder at 9:00 AM has passed", move the event later or choose a different alert time.
